This area of Umoja is characterized by very many social and environmental problems, whereby many people do not like the Word of God. The majority are engaged in commercial sex, child labour and abuse, brewing of local beer as their source of income. There is a high rate of crime and HIV/AIDS, and also practicing of their traditional cultures. As a result, there is a high rate of poverty, illiteracy, and HIV/AIDS in this village. This village has a high population of people who left their homes because of land clashes, and lately because of post-election violence. Our district was heavily affected by these clashes, and many people have come to settle in this village for their safety. Because of the above-mentioned problems, many people do not like salvation even though we are reaching them with the word of God but just a small number of people will show in the church but the rest of the population is still in darkness. Actually, it’s the place of Umoja that God has instructed us to build the Church of Christ with Everlasting Gospel, and to reach His people with the Gospel. Although it's very hard to convert them at once, but God is giving us wisdom and knowledge to reach them, and we are converting them one by one. Currently, our church headquarters is temporally built with mud, while others facilities are rented in schools. Our focus in the church is to preach, teach, and reach the unreached, and also to unite the Body of Christ. Our main desire is to work together and assist each other to grow spiritually strong, encourage and share God’s gift to build His Body strong, and to prepare for His coming. For decades, we have not managed to do our work well due to lack of church facilities, Bibles, land to build a permanent church headquarters, various kinds of church and teaching equipment that could be used to equip pastors to reach the unreached. We get our funds through friends, well-wishers, and church contributions, and have the following programmes:
Therefore, I humbly and kindly invite you to join hands with us so that together we can build the Body of Christ, and prepare for His second coming. I will feel happy if we shall establish a long-lasting relationship with you so that we remain strong on the word and encourage each other. My dear brothers and sisters, I welcome you in Kenya so that together we reach this population and save hearts for Christ, and enlarge the work of God in Umoja village. God bless you as you prepare to come and administer to his flock in Kenya!
